Pantry

Full-Time Demolition Laborer

Use hand power tools to perform demolition insides and outsides of buildings and other structures.

  • Job Description

    All applicants MUST possess a valid 10 HOUR OSHA approved safety card (any other training a plus.) Applicants must have a minimum 5 years’ experience working in demolition.  Laborers will be expected to show up on time and work well in a team environment.


    Job Type: Full-time


    Salary: Per local union scale.

    • Multiple locations thru out the Chicagoland area.


    Essential Functions:


    Use hand power tools to perform demolition insides and outsides of buildings and other structures (i.e. rip up carpet, tear down drywall, break up concrete, use torches to cut steel beams, etc.)

    Operate equipment (skid steer)

    Provide assistance to craft workers (i.e. operators)

    Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery, equipment and materials

    Hook up water hoses and spray for dust control

    Sort debris by hand or with equipment

    Clean up job site in order to maintain a clean workspace

    Participate in job-specific safety orientation and daily job hazard analysis.

    Essential Functions:


    Work closely with project managers, engineers, owners, contractors and subcontractors to ensure their understanding of the scope-of-work, any Changes, potential Requests for Information (RFI’s), and adjustments to cost estimates prior to proposal submission

    Provide input related to project schedules in logical steps, duration required to meet contractual milestones, and completion dates of project work, including determination of all labor and equipment requirements to resource load project schedules

    Monitor project work in tandem with project management teams to ensure compliance with OSHA and safety regulations, corporate behavioral safety program requirements, and all company policies

    Interpret all plans, specifications, and other contract documents to Equipment Operators, and Laborers performing the demolition work onsite.

    Ensure the day-to-day operations onsite are completed safely, in an environmentally compliant manner, efficiently, and provide client interface at the site level.

    Lead in job specific safety orientation and daily job hazard analysis.

    Maintain daily field records on employees, subcontractors, disposal, equipment maintenance and safety.

The company offers a range of demolition services from small interior renovations to large multi-story structures and prides itself on having the most knowledgeable and professional demolition experts in the industry.



    Role Description


    This is a full-time on-site role for a Construction Accounting Manager located in St Charles, IL at Alpine Demolition Services LLC. The Construction Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing accounting department, overseeing financial statements, payroll, performing analytical tasks, managing journal entries, handling finance-related activities, and maintaining fixed assets records.



    • Oversee and supervise day-to-day tasks of accounting personnel which include job cost, general ledger, cash, bank reconciliations, billing and collections, fixed assets, accounts payable, intercompany, account reconciliations, payroll, tax compliance related to payroll and sales/use tax, incentive calculations, income tax support schedules for corporate office, audit preparation, and interfacing with IT consultants to participate in the implementation of software relative to any accounting functions.
    • Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality work and professional development.
    • Manage accounts receivables including making deposits
    • Process weekly payroll.
    • Learning, operating and improving SAGE 100 accounting software practices
    • Managing accounts payables including writing and issuing all checks
    • Reconcile monthly statements
    • Process Union Reports & Certified Payroll
    • Assisting the Project Managers with the management of their projects as it relates to job cost accounting
    • Attend project reviews for all projects and compile all financial data that will transfer to financial statements.
    • Prepare and pay the quarterly taxes for state and federal agencies
    • Work with management to manage the business in all respect


    Qualifications


    • Financial Statements and Analytical Skills
    • Payroll - unions, taxes, benefits.
    • Journal Entries (Accounting) knowledge
    • Experience in Finance and managing Fixed Assets
    • Management of accounting team members.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Strong leadership, communication, problem solving, initiative, and teamwork skills
    • Experience in Sage 100 or similar construction accounting software.
    • 5 Years Experience in construction accounting.
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • CPA certification is a plus.

    Compensation: $ 125,000-165,000 per year.
